Today I want to share with you tips for staying on your diet when your
THOUGHTS start shouting, "I want to eat something Good." Below is a list
of ideas you can use immediately - read the full article in the
Love Yourself – IT MATTERS Blog
Let's look at what you could do differently when the loud thoughts start
drowning out your good intentions. Acknowledge the thoughts and thank
them for helping you. Then say out loud, "I will eat something later and
right now I deserve to buy myself a fun novel." Immediately get into
your car and go to the bookstore. The idea is not to make food an option
and find other activities that make you happy. The most important thing
is to start that activity right away instead of waiting for later.
Following are a list of ideas you could try instead of eating something:

Call yourself, leave a
message bragging about how you are taking care of yourself by
staying on your healthy eating plan and how much better you
feel.

Have your nails done or get a
pedicure.
-
Take a long walk and think
about the things in your life that you are grateful for.
-
Call a friend and see if they
want to meet for coffee and, if they agree, leave immediately.
-
While walking down the street
make up positive stories about the people you are passing. I
love doing this it puts a smile on my face.

I would like to thank my family members and special friends for helping
make my journey through grief a little easier. You have given me
support, laughter and unconditional love. What beautiful gifts!
Life seems to be getting a little easier as if I am crossing over a
bridge and starting to feel whole again. I am attending networking
events and making social plans for the upcoming months.
Yesterday while riding in my car I heard the song, "A Pocketful of
Sunshine" and started thinking I can use my pocketful of sunshine to
create joy and happiness in my life. That brought a smile to my face.
Now whenever I feel sad I sprinkle sunshine around me and feel better
instantly.
