How do you measure the success of your business, the amount of
money you are earning or the impact as a coach you are having on
your client's lives?
Most of us have a tendency to use money as our measuring system.
It can either increase or decrease our self-esteem.
When I first started coaching I was working full-time for the
State of New Jersey and coaching a few hours during the week. I
was constantly pushing myself to make more money and not taking
into consideration I only had a certain amount of hours in a
day.
Looking look back at that time I was a very successful coach.
My business continued to grow and in 2005 I retired from the
State of New Jersey and started coaching full-time. My
insecurity about money grew stronger. Until one day I was having
a conversation with a very successful coach and came to realize
that money was not a measuring stick. What was important were my
passion for coaching and the impact it was having on my client's
lives.
Money will always be part of the equation. The only problem
being is when you are only focusing on money and lose sight of
the other special gifts you are receiving.
Once I started focusing on this realization my business went in
another direction because I was concentrating on the services
being provided and not how much money I was earning.
 Success
is a personal thing. Most of us have a picture in our minds that
demonstrates success. This is the time to be realistic and focus
on what can be accomplished within a certain timeframe.
I feel successful when:

A client has a breakthrough
and starts living life from another prospective.

Realize something is not
working and change my action steps.
-
After a brainstorming session
with my team and we walk away motivated.

Receive a thank you note from
someone saying they gained a new prospective after reading
my blog or Ezine.
-
Earning a living while
focusing on the services Love Yourself Coaching provides.
