Love Yourself - IT MATTERS

February / 2011

In the East Coast during the month of January we have received over 28 inches of snow. Every few days we look out our windows and see the snow piling up on the ground.
It has become very depressing. Would anyone like to invite me for a few days to either Florida or California? I would love to feel the warm sun and wear light clothing instead of heavy sweaters, coat, scarf and gloves.

What I keep reminding myself, SPRING IS COMING!!

Okay it is time to take action and make a choice. Either I can let my snow thoughts take over my world or focus on what is making me happy each day.

I love Abraham Lincoln's quote, "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Below is a list of things that made me happy yesterday:

  • Jeffrey, my grandson called to tell me that he loved me.

  • Dillon, my grandson answered my text.

  • Andy, my neighbor snowplowed my driveway.

  • Had dinner with an old friend.

  • Many people have signed up to hear Dave Buck's presentation on February 23rd at 1:00pm EST. Email me at helen@loveyourself.com for call details.

  • Feel motivated and have been working on my almost completed book.

The list can go on and on.

Remember happiness is a state of mind, not what you are waiting to accomplish.

Please share with the Love Yourself - It Matters! Community Blog what special events in your life make you happy. Working together we start making changes in our lives and live from a different perspective.

Helen's Monthly Biz Tip

"Achieve success in any area of life
by identifying the optimum strategies
and repeating them
until they become habits."
~
Charles J. Givens

Most of us get out of bed every day, think about our businesses and how we are going to reach our target market. New ideas pop into our minds constantly.

Recently, I decided to write down some of the action steps I had been taking and see if they achieved any type of success.

At first it seemed I was throwing mud against the wall and nothing was sticking. Acting blindly, I continued doing the same things and hoping for another result. Until one day while coaching a client I realized we were both doing the same thing.

When we ended the coaching session and she had a new plan, I knew it was my turn to make changes.

Steps I took to make those changes:

  • Listed the most repeated action steps I had taken on a daily basis that were not working.

  • Wrote my thoughts down of why they were not working.

  • Evaluated what I had written in order to make changes.

  • Developed a new plan of action by only focusing on one or two steps.

  • Evaluated the plan each week and determined if any new changes had to be implemented.

Using my new plan and always reviewing it has created different opportunities for me. The process has made it easier to reach my goals while focusing on my mission. Love Yourself Coaching's MISSION is to support coaches in having a thriving business while loving themselves.

I personally invite you to contact me at helen@loveyourselfcoaching.net to schedule time to chat, brainstorm ideas and get to know each other.

Are you going to continually take the same steps and hope for your business to grow? If you need help in making changes please let the

If you have made changes and they are working please let the

New Coaches...Coach, Learn and Prosper

It is a challenge to find ideal (PAYING) clients. Contrary to what we thought, clients are "gun-shy" of taking the leap and hiring a coach. The good news, people are learning about coaching and slowly starting to take advantage of our services. Finding the clients who are ready to take a risk is a tall order to fill when you’re just starting out as a new coach.

Realizing what is happening, new coaches are feeling even more pressured to be successful. They are 'niche-shy' and they don't have the time to properly market themselves because they are juggling a JOB much longer than planned.

Does this sound like you? Are you a new coach struggling to get your coaching message and business off the ground?

"Tough Love for Coaches: Profit or Perish"

As Coaches, we all have great dreams of helping people and making the world a better place. This is a wonderful intention. However, unless a Coach can build a profitable coaching business that supports a great lifestyle, the great dream probably won't happen. My message is the tough love for coaches. If we do not focus on coaching as a business, and build the personal business skills and presence to make money, we won't be in the game. Join me for a conversation about what it takes to create revenue while doing outstanding high quality coaching at the same time. Profit is not a dirty word. Profit is what allows us to be selective and choose the clients that match our talents the best. Then we can make that unique difference we want to make for people.

Val Williams, MCC, is an Executive Coach and expert in senior executive leadership development.

Play BIG in the World

Are you ready to play BIG in the world?

Playing BIG in the world means that you are fully expressing your talents and gifts in a way that adds maximum value to the lives of others while bringing joy and true wealth to your life at the same time! It means you wake up every day ready to play with purpose to create possibility vs. going to work on tasks and problems.

To play BIG you have to be willing and able to step up and stand out! You have to be willing to take a risk and be seen and known for who you really are and then boldly share your value with colleagues and customers. You must be clear about your value to others and live true to your purpose in the world. It is challenging, engaging and thrilling at the same time.

The Spirit of Play is the key!

One key to playing BIG in your business or career is to energize your game with the spirit of play! With the spirit of play you tap into a major human energy source that releases your creativity, resourcefulness, resilience and desire to have fun doing what you do. When you do this on a daily basis, you attract opportunities because the people around you are drawn to the energy.

Based on our fundamental understanding that all humans are born with the ability AND desire to play we developed a fundamental theory that ANY endeavor in life can be played as a winnable game. We call our method Play- Two-Win tm because as a coach you only win when your player wins and as a player you only win when your whole team wins. This becomes another point of attraction because people will love playing on your team because they know that you are playing for them to win also.

Traditional methods for coaching and personal growth are often not effective because they are focused on working on tasks and problems. We know that humans learn, grow and produce results better when they are playing and enjoying what they do. So if you want to play BIG in the world AND coach people who desire to play big in the world, you MUST learn this method.

This powerful playshop is designed for coaches AND anyone ready to play BIG in the world.
