Creating Your 2011 Vision

We are in the beginning of a new year with a clean slate!

I was speaking to my friend Mie, who happens to be a coach, about the twists and turns my life has taken recently. She suddenly put on her coaching cap and asked, "What is my business and personal Vision for July 2011." This question took me by surprise and I went completely blank.

After a long silence, I offered to think about it and send her my July 2011 Vision within the next few days.

Getting off the phone my creative mind went in all different directions. By sitting down at the computer my mind finally calmed down and I started writing out my July 2011 Vision.

This exercise helped me realize in a realistic way what I wanted to accomplish. I was then able to create a daily action plan to stay on track in a productive way.

With my coaching cap on, I am asking you, "What is your business and personal Vision for 2011?"

Following are some small steps you can take to create your Vision:

  • Sit in a quiet space and close your eyes, take 5 slow deep breaths and when exhaling let all the tension go.

  • Picture yourself sitting under a big tree thinking about what you would like to happen in your business and personal life. There is no right or wrong just shoot for the stars.

  • Relax and savor the moment.

  • When you are ready open your eyes.

  • Write down what picture you had for your business and person life.

  • Create your July 2011 Vision.

  • Read over your Vision for the next few days and let it sink into your soul.

  • Identify one to three actions you are going to take daily, making your Vision a reality.

  • Start taking the steps.

Helen's Monthly Biz Tip

In January my thoughts always turn to what am I going to do different this year to ensure my business continues to grow.

Last year I created a team of 3 members to help me promote Love Yourself Coaching. We worked hard together and achieved our goals of promoting Love Yourself Coaching.

It's a huge liberation to have a trusted team working alongside of you. Because of this supported environment, I am freed-up to work ON my business. This is a big difference from working IN your business. This shift has allowed me to respond to the generous feedback received from the past and current Coaches' Coaching Circle Members. They shared that in addition to developing their coaching skills, gaining practice with a REAL client, they want to continue learning!

This year is going to be different!

The first thing that comes to mind is that I'm committed to building personal relationships with coaches. How am I going to do that?

I am reaching out to different coaches and clients to say hello and reconnect. Reconnecting with inspirational individuals renews my energy. Any quality time I can spend with other aspiring coaches helps me to be a happier person and business owner. I know this consistent practice is essential for the growth I want in 2011.

Second, I am the newly elected Secretary for the New Jersey Professional Coaching Association (NJPCA) and looking forward to building relationships with the coaches in the organization.

Lastly, over the years, I have learned that staying connected with other coaches has made my journey easier. I have taken many, many different seminars, trainings and always worked with a coach. Love Yourself Coaching is committed to assist you in your journey.

Every day I receive different offers for workshops, trainings and it becomes a bit overwhelming. I know how valuable these offers are and decided to just follow one or two coaches. I invite YOU to follow Love Yourself Coaching for 2011 and see how your business grows because of this connection.
